Warrior Ireland Gala Dinner

A spectacular night was had by over 150 people including John Boorman, his son Charley and daughter Katrine, Bob Geldof and actress girlfriend Jeanne Marine, Chris de Burgh and Director Neil Jordan on Thursday night at a dinner in aid of the charity The Warrior Programme at Powerscourt, Enniskerry, Ireland.

Following the drinks reception the guests heard from three Warriors who told their moving stories. After dinner there was an auction which was swiftly followed by a performance from Warrior Adrian Anderson and Jeanne Marine. Bob Geldof then accompanied Jeanne in a song after which Chris de Burgh sang a number of songs including Lady in Red.

It was a truly memorable occasion.

The Warrior Programme would like to thank everyone who helped make the night possible especially the army of volunteers who worked tirelessly during the night and those who donated prizes to the auction and raffle.

The evening raised over 20,000 Euros which will enable The Warrior Programme help 20 traumatised veterans.
