How it all works

How does the programme work?

Participants learn how to gain control of their own thinking patterns using a proven combination of techniques from:

• NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)
• Cognitive Therapy
• Meditation

NLP

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) has been called "the study of excellence and how to reproduce it". It is a powerful behavioral technology, which has the capacity to change, adopt or eliminate patterns of behavior. As a computer geek can debug and upgrade defective software, so a NLP practitioner can remedy issues affecting the human computer using various established techniques. NLP helps people to take control over mental hang-ups and emotional states of well-being.

Cognitive Therapy

Cognitive therapy revolves around the principal that cognition mediates between stimuli (such as external events), and internal emotions. Depression and anxiety may be the result of unrealistic or negative interpretations to a stimuli which disproportionate to the stimuli itself. A person learns to shift his or her focus from one mental fixation to a more positive one - a process known as 'cognitive shifting'.
To put this more simply; we can’t control everything that happens but we can control how to choose to respond.

Meditation

An age old practice; meditation is about relaxing and concentrating attention on a single focus, (often simply one’s breathing) and returning the mind to a state of natural serenity free of the clutter of ‘mental noise’ or distracted thoughts. If practiced regularly, this process of clearing the mind has cumulative benefits in creating an altered state of awareness in which the brain wave pattern is in an alpha state, and where the primary nature of perceptions and events overtakes the person’s habitual response to a stimuli.
Research has shown that exercising meditation promotes natural healing and contributes to a person’s psychological and physiological well-being.
