In addition to the stresses and strains of everyday life and multiple moves the frequent absence of a partner can be unsettling; these can create difficulty in maintaining a job, training for a career and possibly affect children’s education.

Then The Warrior Programme can:

  • Empower you to make good decisions in relationships, finances and career
  • Help you learn how to give yourself a break and exercise self-care
  • Break the cycle of unhelpful negative thoughts
  • Promote feelings of self-reliance, boosting confidence and self esteem

OUR PROGRAMME

We offer a 12-month programme commencing with a 3-day intensive foundation course, followed by regular refresher sessions and online interaction. During the programme you will be introduced to coaching techniques that will enable you to build resilience, manage stress and focus on building a confident and positive future.

The 12 month programme is fully funded, including food and accommodation, however participants will need to make their own travel arrangements to the course.

When I arrived at the course I was having a pretty rough time. I was feeling anxious. I think there’s a lot of pressure on dependents. I liked the idea of getting some tools to help with my anxiety. I had severe anxiety around my daughter. I don’t know why it happened, but some of it relates to my husband being away. When he comes back he takes her to her activities and things, and I get worried. I know that I don’t need to, but because I’m not there, I think something’s going to happen.

The course definitely helped with that.

I don’t feel so anxious now. I feel that the course helped me to become more understanding and open minded.

All the staff were really good. Having people outside the room that could help if you needed it was great. You can tell that everyone is really concerned about your welfare.

I’d like to go on a refresher course because I think there are still things in the background that I’d like to sort out.

I would recommend the course to anyone. It encourages you to treat others differently and more positively.

Course Calendar

In light of the current situation regarding COVID 19 we are not running any further residential courses in 2020; instead we are now running online courses which run for 6 half days.  As soon as we have dates for residential courses confirmed for 2021 we will update the website.

We have also developed an online resource to enable all existing participants to continue to embed the techniques taught on the Programme and are running regular training via Facebook live and Zoom.  We advertise all these sessions by email and on the Facebook closed site.  If you do not currently receive regular invitations, and would like to do so, please contact us at enquiries@warriorprogramme.org.uk

In addition, we have developed our online resource to support those individuals who are waiting to attend the programme.   Once you have registered your interest with us and spoken to a Coordinator you will be able to access these modules.  You will also receive invitations to join regular online live group sessions.

At times like these, it is important that we come together and support each other through what is to be a tough time for us all.
